First Christmas card for the season

I am finally starting with my Christmas cards.  This card was made with a stamp set I received with a copy of the Papercraft essentials Magazine (issue 137).  Love this set, I have so many ideas I still want to do.

Firtstly I stamped the little house scene is Stazon black ink and emossed it with clear embossing powder, I then used the star stamp to stamp some stars in the sky and embossed it with Ranger white detail embossing powder.

I then blended faded jeans, stormy clouds, chipped sapphire, seedless preserves and dusty concord distress inks into some distress watercolor paper.  After I was happy with the blending, I added water droplets for some extra didtressing.  After the card was dry I used the embossing folder that came with the stamp set to emboss the trees onto the card.  I used some black soot distress inks to highlight the trees.

For the sentiment I used an older Ali Edwards Studio AE stamp set, I embossed it with the white embossing powder on vellum.  As a finishing touch I used some sequence and star confetti as embellishments.

Have a wonderfull evening

Trying again ...

This is my second attempt at blogging.  Hopefully I will do more regular post this time around.  I am not a natural writer, so this is sometimes a bit difficult for me.

I got the most exiting package today.  My first Magnolia stamps ever! Yeeha!  I am still deciding if I like the collection.  I think it is a bit different from their usual themes.  Will let you know how I feel about them, think I have to make a card to see if they are working for me.

I also ordered my second Whiff of Joy secret stamp kit today, can't wait to receive it :-).

Hopefulle I will have a card to upload in the near future, I decided to try my hand at challenges to get me going. Hehe.

See again ...
